The Best Christmas Gift: Multi-Generation Family Photos!

This year we have several multi-generation sessions booked right after Christmas, and we’re SO excited! I also think this is such a great idea, and a great way to take advantage of family being in town for the holidays. Not to mention, a great gift idea!

We have a couple spots available still for Wednesday, December 28th at Rancho Las Lomas for morning sessions, and a morning session at San Juan Capistrano. Email us soon if you’d like to jump on the bandwagon! photography.jarmstrong@gmail.com

Booking: holiday family sessions 2022

If you’re looking to book your session for holiday photos, now is the time! We have some dates left for full family sessions (45-minutes) at your preferred location in South OC, as well as a limited number of mini-sessions at Rancho Las Lomas in Trabuco Canyon on November 21 and 22.

For full family sessions, please fill out our Google form to select your preferred date and location. Sessions are 45-minutes long and cost $245.

For Rancho Las Lomas mini-sessions, please email us at photography.jarmstrong@gmail.com with your preferred date and time. These sessions are 20-minutes long and cost $150. We currently (as of 10/12) have three sessions still available:

  • Monday, November 21st at 3:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, November 22nd at 3:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, November 22nd at 3:30 p.m.

What does each session include? Whether a mini-session or a full session, all photos are delivered via online gallery. Through that gallery you can easily share your link and password with family and friends, order prints, or download the full gallery or select specific photos to download so you can incorporate into your holiday cards.

How many photos will I get? We do not have a maximum number of edited photos provided – any photo that is worth editing will be edited and included in your online gallery. There are no additional fees to receive your photos or any specific quantity of photos. For mini sessions, the average number of photos is between 15-25. For full sessions, the average is between 20-45 photos. Could be more, could be less, just depends on the session.

How does booking a session work? Once you confirm your interest, we will send a contract with the specifics of your session and payment instructions. A $100 deposit is required for full sessions with the remainder of the payment due by your photo date. Payment in full is required to book a mini-session.

What kind of payments do you accept? We accept payment via Venmo, Zelle, cash or check.

Need help designing your holiday cards? If the online templates are not cutting it for you, feel free to reach out for a custom designed card. I can never find one online that has the right format for the photos I want to use, so inevitably Jeff ends up designing our card. He can design yours too! Email us for details.

Price Family 2019

Had a great evening at the San Clemente pier dodging other family photo shoots and enjoying the sunset. Seriously its not surprising there are so many photographers in the area with locations like this. I feel so lucky to say that this is one of my regular photo spots.

Abby, Paul and Lando

So happy to finally be able to share these. This was the first session of the holiday season and one of my absolute favorites. Not only are they some of the best people: they make my job so easy! Had an awesome time walking around Orange, and even though we got started late with the time change and early sunset: it was perfect!

At one point we were walking past a window with a neon sign and I had to make them stop for a photo. That’s when Abby said Ā ā€œjust edit all of these to make it look like I’m in Bladerunner.ā€ Can do.

2019 Round Up

Well it’s been a long time coming and wow am I bad at keeping up with this thing. My last post was almost a year ago! Things have been really busy in the photography world for me lately and I love it! Here’s just some random trips and photo sessions that I’ve had this year. Can’t wait to share more of the recent sessions after the holidays.

Guatemala!

Me and my wife did a whirlwind weekend trip to Guatemala for a friends wedding. No sleep, crazy driving in the city and wonderful friends. It was a great and exhausting trip.Ā

Yosemite!

Well we mostly stayed in Bishop and did a ton of driving to and from the foothills of Yosemite. But it was a great and busy trip and family reunion.

Random photo sessions!

Here are a few randoms from some family sessions. And also a couple maternity photos of Alex. Baby boy #3 on the way!

San Clemente Pier family session

Finally late enough in the year where I can start sharing photos from the Christmas sessions!Ā  I’ll share a separate post with a roundup, but sharing this session for now.
This one wasĀ  a fun shoot down at San Clemente Pier with a coworker of mine, her husband and little Aveline. Aveline was so good for the first 15 minutes then hit the inevitable “I’m over this” wall. Which I secretly love just because those photos of parents pleading with their kids to smile and stay put for just one more photo show the reality of parenting.Ā  Also had the boys and Alex with me down there: of course Josh had toĀ  proceed to fall over in the waves and make mom run in with her shoes on to get himĀ (hence the photo of a pantsless Josh). KIDS!Ā  But it was a great evening at the beach and a reminder of why I can never leave Southern California: photos at the beach in December!

Competitive baby tossing and cuteness overload.

A late post but one of my absolute favorites from the busy Christmas season. If you know me or have been following my photography, then you already know my connection with this wonderful family. And now they have a seriously adorable littleĀ Cameron May who is just as photogenic and smiley as mom and dad (even when she’s flying through the air) Which brings me to Competitive Baby Tossing. I have had multiple dads toss their little ones during photo shoots. Some just barely leave dads hands and some go soaring into the sky while mom looks on with terrified eyes. But none have done it with close to as much style as baby Cameron. I mean seriously, it looks like I photoshopped her into the photo. I love it. Looking forward to watching this family grow through the coming years and love that I’ve been a part of it for so long already!
